I’m glad you love the car and glad you want to understand it. But you’re asking the same question repeatedly, and getting the same answer every time. It’s not going to change. My question was genuine - what are you expecting? Please don't get testy. I have a brand new car. I love it. I'm just trying to understand it. Especially if I take a long trip I want to make sure I understand all of the factors that impact range. If this is aggravating you, you might want to choose a different thread. And thanks for weighing in.
Cold impacts range. Wind impacts range. Rain really impacts range. A cold, windy deluge REALLY impacts range - you might find yourself using two rated miles per actual mile of driving worst case.
This isn’t an EV phenomenon - you’re just hyper-aware of it right now and never gave it a second thought in a gas car.
It appears you have a 60 mile round trip to work. You just showed that even with your battery only charged to 80%, you can easily travel 2-3 times that distance in poor weather.
Where is your “worry” coming from?
