New owners, any issues with side-view mirrors?

Same problem. Picked my MS up 12/3. I've got an appointment in a couple of weeks. I'll try some of the suggestions.

Are you guy physically pushed the mirror out or just using the buttons to reset? I'm reluctant to manhandle the mirror mechanism. Right now I see about 1/2 the car in the driver's side mirror. Normally I set it to just beyond the point where I see the car in the mirror.

I was until I found the click click method. It's been working for me about 10 days now without needing to manually push the mirror out.

My driver-side too didn't unfold completely. (Mid-Dec delivery) Felt loose and left drag/scratch marks when it rotated. Took it to SC where they replaced the mirror and it seems fine.

I have the same problem on a 3 week old 90D. I have been holding off talking with the SC with hope that a software update will do the fix. In the meantime, I either push the button multiple times or roll down the window to adjust with my hand.

Took mine in to the service center. They replaced the mechanism. So far, so good.

My wife just brought ours to the service center today. They said it's a known software issue and that it would be fixed with an update. It sounded like it's the update going out right now, but not 100% on that.

Took delivery on 2/17 and had absolutely no issues at all. Until this morning when the temperature in Chicago dropped to 23F. The mirror auto tilt worked but not the auto fold. I am hoping its just due to the cold and it will be back to as it was working once the temperature goes up later today or tomorrow.

Had ours in for service that stated on the paperwork the latest firmware update contained a fix for it. Ours was not temperature dependent. It occurred all the time on the passenger side

Yep mine worked just fine after the temperature went up a little bit.

Took delivery of my S100D March 31. First week, driver's side mirror did not open fully---closed it, opened it and it has worked since, until today (July 30). Had to repeat the fold in fold out sequence 3 times to get it to open. Will try the the button reset.

I had the problem shortly after delivery earlier this year. I sprayed some silicone around the base of the mirror, opened and closed them a few times, and the problem has not repeated.

I had the same problem. It is well documented. First they told me it was a software issue. But finally they had to replace the mirror. That was several months ago and it has worked fine since.

Some pre-march or April mirror assemblies had issues. New ones have a number of improvements including higher torque. Apparently some old ones worked ok, while others need replacement. A good indicator of a weak mirror is if it folds/unfolds slower than the other one.
