Fill in the xxx when you know it, so we can have a thread that shifts focus from the measly P90DL HP thread that has gone on for all its worth now.

..gotta love Tesla. You're on top of the heap for performance for maybe 3 months... then yesterday's news.

    1762 amps at 314 volts = 553 KW = 741 hp at the battery.

Do we have a winner folks !?!?

Man that was fast. And I hope we've put this topic to bed.

Moderators, please update the title of the thread xxx=741 and you may close the thread.

it's not put to rest until someone can log the pack performance. It's all speculation at this point.

More cells, more volts. I doubt they would keep trying to up the current, reduce it if anything to lower heat/weight/cost.

What do you think the 50-70 mph time is? The 2016 Rs7 is recorded at 1.52

    Well it was already 1.61 with a V1 P90DL and P85DL.

If someone wants to send me a vbo(vbox) or dbn(pbox) files for some V2 runs, that would good. I have to imagine the P100D would be around 1.25.

Took delivery of a P90DL refresh first week of June. My DS knows I really really wanted the P100D so I called him today right after the announcement today and he is going to get back to me tomorrow on details for the 100kwh upgrade. Also just put some Forgiato 22" ECL performance wheels on it this past weekend with Pirelli Zero GT tires so basically as soon as I get the upgrade I will come in with specs and full details. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I will say to the person above wondering the 50-70 MPH time, it says on Tesla's site that 45-65 or "passing speed" is 1.2 seconds. That's ridiculous.

Including the time to upshift from cruise and spool the turbo's? I think not.

How much faster would the P100DL be if it had the larger motor in the front as well? Would it's power output still be limited by the battery?

Yes, we are still limited by battery power.

Isn't the car actually traction limited first, then power limited?

I see a lot of drag races "on radial all season tires" like it comes from the factory.

What if you put slicks on?
