I don't think it will matter as long as it's taken off and painted correctly. I plan on keeping this car for at least 6 years so I am not too concerned about resale right now.

I don't think it will matter either. I had the front bumper cover replaced on my P85D when it was new due to an issue with alignment/ultrasonic sensor mounts. It's a plastic bumper cover - you are not reporting an accident.
