New Purchase Registration Problem with Expired DRL

I'm in CA and buying our second Tesla. When setting up the registration information, it asks us to upload a picture of the front and back of our DRL. I get a message back that says invalid document. I'm assuming it's because the DRL is technically expired. However, due to COVID, California's DMV gave a 12 mo. extension for all expired licenses. I can't get in to get a new DRL anytime soon because I need to make an appt. for a new written test and availability is months out near me.

I tried calling the phone number on my manage order screen, but it sounds like an offshore call center. They couldn't help.

Has anyone encountered this and what did you do to try and solve it? Thanks.

Good point, but picture 1 only asks for front and picture 2 only asks for back. Not sure what will happen if I go off script. Worth a try. Thanks.

Anyone else have this exact issue and already solved it? Thanks.
