Tesla did this like a group buy like the website Mass Drop. Pretty annoying that it wasn't disclosed that the product wasn't in stock and ready to ship.
I ended up ordering the EV Hooks ones since I didn't feel like waiting on Tesla to get their act together so I can keep my dry cleaning from landing on the floor at the first turn.
The EV Hooks were super easy to install in the headliner and I used them for first time for my dry cleaning last night and it went well. Just FYI in case the Tesla ones sell out again.
"Designed to fit in any Model X, or Model S with second-generation seats." Are they referring to the current in-house "Premium" seats? I thought those were like the 4th gen seats (with next-gen being the third gen seats).
OP again.
Quick update.
Following FedEx Tracking. - Delivery revised to Monday end of day. Getting minor issue resolved & Arachnids installed at SC on Model S Tuesday. I will still try to do a quick video on Monday once I receive them.
Wednesday at the latest.
Besides the branding, and supporting Tesla why are these better than the $10 Abstract Ocean ones (Coat Hooks - Set of Two). I have used those for years without an issue.

Seems like a better more custom fit and an elegant design.
Or possibly...
Bare in mind that this is pure conjecture on my part and it has not been officially confirmed. But they may have a form of active smart air suspension that prevents hangers from swaying from side to side when cornering. I’m guessing it will be activated with a firmware update. (Like the rear heated seats in early Model 3s) We probably won’t know for sure until AP 9.0 is released.
I don’t particularly want to hang things off my roof lining, also a jacket on the back of a seat is less visually impairing than hanging in front of a window. I am sure some more cost effective versions will appear soon.
