New Service Center coming to Waterloo Region!

Its on Tesla's website under the supercharger map. Going to be at uptown waterloo on Regina St. Basically beside the railroad tracks.

The urban chargers are to be installed in urban centres. Makes sense as then each charger gets max output rather than the current version of 1A, 1B...

Cool. I noticed a few destination chargers in Waterloo already as well that are set as public use.

Now I just need a car to use them.

The coming soon map markers are always just placed on the city name on Google Maps, which is where the parking lot is. It doesn't tell us anything about where the chargers actually will be.

I'd bet on Conestoga Mall as Tesla has partnered with some of the owner's malls in Alberta for Superchargers. That parking lot in uptown is city-owned, so I think Superchargers there are very unlikely.

Figured i would update everyone.

Seems like work is finally progressing on this service centre. I wrong a lengthy email about 4 weeks ago commenting on this service centre. about 2 weeks later... work began! Coincidence? probably... but maybe not!

Either way, there are service job postings on Tesla website finally too!

I can't wait - I'm getting tired of driving both our cars back and forth to Mississauga. Not a reflection of their team, great service, but man, 2 hours each way, twice for each appointment is a pain.

That's awesome! I always used to go check out progress, but recently I've stopped checking. With all the sales closures I thought we weren't getting the service centre here.

Kitchener / Waterloo has a descent amount of Tesla’s considering the population.
We’re about half way on the list in Canada for emissions.

Toronto is so congested that they need to put them a little further outside the city. Barrie, Waterloo and Kingston area.
