That will be fantastic! I'll bet they saved a boatload of money by locating it in Superior instead of Boulder.
Is there any clue on when they'd start work on the site? I'm through there about once a week and I'm already getting unrealistically impatient that nothing's happening =)
I walk by every day. Nothing yet, but the town board still hasn't officially approved yet. They meet tonight.
I did not go to the board meeting, but the Daily Camera reports they voted to approve 5-2, and that the service/sales center will be ready sometime next spring.
Glad it's approved, and I'll adjust my internal clock appropriately. Most likely won't be here before my 3, but will still be convenient. For me, 2019 is a race between this and Ikea "North" now...
Yesterday the first crews showed up. Nothing much going on yet but there is a portable toilet on site now, so things are official.
They will most likely have a Supercharger at the location. Since it isn't listed on Tesla's map, it will probably only be for the Service Center to use when servicing cars. That could all change though. Some Service Centers do have them and that location looks like it would be a good spot for one eventually.
Ours in Tempe Az keeps a stall or two open for public use 24/7 (or at least they say they do). 240/40A that is.
The Denver Service Center has a Supercharger inside for service. They also have like a dozen HPWC outside but they are usually used for charging cars that are to be delivered. They would probably let you use them in a pinch but most of them are usually already in use. I know other Service Centers, such as the one in Salt Lake City, do have Superchargers for customers to use.
I was told by Littleton service that Superior was behind schedule and opening was now expected in Q2 2019. They really want Superior open to reduce the load on Littleton.
