Make sure you are far away from Canadian cell phone towers. Rebooting in Blaine didn't activate NAV on AP for me.

Tried a month ago and had no issues getting it working. Can’t remember where I stopped (Starbucks) and drove to first supercharger on Nav on Autopilot... hoping for same success.

It’s funny, as it didn’t appear right away... I was driving away from the Blaine Starbucks where I did the two button and brake reboot.. after a couple minutes, the screen rebooted with the feature available. I had to pull over and activate the feature while stoped.

Got the update this morning and enabled install by phone app (Nice ).
Will not see the what's changed until I get back to the car this evening (Not so nice)
Would be nice to see update notes on the phone app and specific to models.

Got the update notice, but the install failed twice. This morning, AutoPilot wasn't working at all (cruise or autosteer). Would the software update failure be related to the AutoPilot failure or vice versa?

Yes. Place a call to support. They will likely push the update to you again and send out the commands to clear any stuck updates.

I’m still waiting for the iOS app to update - the climate control improvements require v3.8.0.

The climate control improvements do not require 3.8.x (except for remote operation) - they are available on the screen immediately after the 48.12.1 update from the fan icon.

Well I too am going on a Chrismas family vacation with the Tesla into the USA. Good thing it will work in USA. Just have to reboot once on USA network. Two weeks of Nav on Autopilot com g up starting Saturday!,

Watch out for the smaller one-lane exit offramps with sharp turns - you're in for a fun swerve.

Unfortunately, I can confirm that the auto-wipers are still not fixed in this update. Being in Vancouver, this is the #1 minor gripe about my car.

Concur, Auto wiper is terrible and it still hasn’t been fixed.
Anyone having brake squeaking when stopping at low speed? It happens randomly on mine

Got the update notice this morning and updated tonight. I immediately activated fart mode for my daughter's seat so that when she gets into the car in the morning it'll let one rip.

She's 8 and thinks farts are hilarious, so tomorrow should be an interesting drive.

I don't believe the BMS will heat up the battery because the car is plugged into the wall. From my experience it has to be charging for it activate battery heating. However it hasn't got that cold in Vancouver to enable the snowflake symbol yet so it could react differently in colder temps.

I hope it’s not Donald Trump’s wall !

I haven't tested the wipers in 48.12.1 very much since getting the update the other day, but if it makes you feel any better IMO the auto-wipers have never worked very well - 3 years and ~30 firmware updates later for my MS 70D and I still have to intermittently manually push the button on the wiper stalk to clear the window in anything other than a heavy steady rain

After calling service, they escalated to Advanced Vehicle Support who pushed out the update again over LTE (and 4 floors underground somehow). Now I can fart and fire all I want!
