New software update

Just got a notification that there is a new update, and started to download it. Teslas are new to me - where do I find the release notes? Or do I just poke around to see what I can find?

I now have 2020.5.10.3 96d... The release notes were blank, just "minor updates" message or whatever.

Not sure what it was before.

That’s what most people are on according to teslafi. But they only have 44 model Ya registered. And interestingly one of them running newer software is located in Sweden. But we are still far behind the other Tesla vehicles in terms of software version.

I guess they push a software update when they install your Homelink, so that's all it was. The guy triggered the update a couple hours before he got here so once I saw it I just hit the button. Turns out it has to be done after he installs it, so I had to run the update again once he was done.

I'm having HL installed today. I see they staged a SW update for me but unfortunately, it is the same version I'm currently on, 2020.5.10.3

Ya, same version. I guess it needed an "update" to activate it or something.

I have 2020.5.10.5. I found that, with all windows down, using the CLOSE button on the app only rolls up the 2 front windows, not the back one. I'm also not getting the auto up/down with rear passenger window. I'm sure these bugs will be fixed when I get next release.

Can confirm, just got a notice to update. Hope we get the dash cam view and more importantly, the ability to play CupHead.

This is awesome, as I'm typing this to ask you what the update is like? I just got notification to update mine!

The 2020.5.xx are Model Y specific, not yet integrated into the general updates (now on 2020.12.x).

Does the "new update ready" show on the app or in the car? I dont have the ability to view the sentry cam videos in the car. Is that the next upgrade?

It will show up as a notification in the app when it's ready to be installed. Don't know if it will allow viewing sentry mode video in the car monitor with this update yet. Will find out soon

Find your model in the menu and look under interface for the update number.

Just uploaded 2020.5.10.7 and unfortunately it does not include any new features aside from minor bug fixes. Was really looking forward to the new dashcam viewer and on-screen recognition of signals and stop signs. Guess we’ll have to wait a few more weeks/months...
