This is so exciting. I just stumbled unto a completed supercharger at the Brooklyn Museum/Brooklyn Botanic Garden parking. Ten completed urban chargers. They are fenced, however, maybe for cosmetic work. My phone memory was full and I couldn't take any pictures. I will be going back to for pictures later or tomorrow. This was a real stealth one. The superchargers are close to the Washington Avenue entrance at 878 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY as opposed to the Eastern Parkway entrance of the parking lot. The lot is operated by GMCC Parking LLC.
I can imagine a charge lot necessary in Brooklyn to avoid ICE-ing, but it does make for an expensive charge: The Brooklyn Museum and Botanic Garden - GGMC Parking
Actually, that's very, very cheap parking for Brooklyn and the rest of New York City. And considering that the average price of gas in NYC is $3.083/gallon, a Model 3 owner for instance still comes out ahead after an hour charge.
Self service. The area where the superchargers are used to be reserved for Zip cars. It's the closest area to the entrance/exit.
I stopped by last night and the woman at the gate told me it wasn't working but I tried it anyway. Indeed it isn't working. It's $6 for an hour, $1 more than Williamsburg but much closer to me! Very excited about this one. It's open until 11pm weekdays and 10pm on the weekends.
