New Tesla Facility in Arlington, VA

My wife took this picture today of what looks like a new Tesla showroom and/or service center on Glebe Road in Arlington, VA. It is right next to the intersection of Glebe with I-395. Anyone have any details? Apologies if this has already been discussed.

New Service Center. A mobile tech told me it'll also service DC. That building was previously a Maserati dealership if I recall correctly. It is not a great place to get into and out of, especially with the W. Glebe Road bridge replacement project, but it will be great to not have to shlep my car out to Tysons for service when the work can't be completed by mobile tech.

Tesla website lists it under "stores and galleries" as well as "service", and (apparently) the plans described a 'sales, delivery and vehicle service center', so it appears it's an everything location.

You can always try. Maybe ask your delivery specialist? Sometimes they also give you an option to choose from in the app/website. Good luck and congratulations!

This is great, like others I'm glad to know I won't have to Uber home from Tyson when I take my MY in for the HEPA filter conversion--when it's available.

My SA at Tysons confirmed Arlington is open but switching would not speed anything up. I could have him unlock my configuration in my account and change the delivery location but I guess I'll just keep waiting.

On 6/10 I made an appointment via the App for an over the counter parts purchase/pick up. The earliest “appointment” they had was 6/30. I took it.

On 6/27 I was notified my appointment was moved to 7/18. No other communication was made by the SC about the appointment. Not a good look.

Thankfully it was not a priority and I just cancelled/rescheduled it for 7/12–interestingly the App wouldn’t let me choose a location (as it had previously) it just scheduled me for a mobile appointment and didn’t say anything about location.

Hopefully it’s just indicative of growing pains for the Arlington SC.

Hopefully, you are right. The app gives you an option for "earliest date" at any of the local service centers. Even though I'm close to the Arlington service center, I took an opening in Rockville for the following week when Arlington was saying at least three weeks. I had a great experience with the Rockville location, my first use of them for service.

Yes, at the time I was not in a rush so the potential convenience of Arlighton would have justified the initial wait. I too have had a great experience with the Rockville service center and body shop.

I had to go in recently for a check/top up of my coolant reservoir. I dropped it off, they checked it, flushed the system, and inspected tires all for free. Was done so quickly I spent more time in an Uber back and forth than I would have had to wait. I'm excited to know we have an SC so close to DC.

Similar experience here when I took mine there for an a/c fault - they had it diagnosed (sensor fault) and fixed super quickly.

I took my 2019 in for a HEPA filter replacement. The crew was nice and turned it around in about an hour while I waited. I also picked up a paddle gear for my 2015. I'll be back on January 5th to have the driver's rear damper replaced on the 2019. We'll see if I get a loaner, but I am not holding my breath. This SC is much smaller than the SC on Tyco Rd. but I am glad to be done driving to Tysons.
