See An Octogenarian Couple Shows Age is No Barrier for a Model S | Blog | Tesla Motors Very well written story by Tesla writer Hamish McKenzie about...my parents.
Yes, I am the kid standing just to the rear of the driver side door in that black-and-white photo of my fathers 1959 Porsche 356A coupe shown in the Tesla blog post by Hamish. I also owned a 1959 Porsche 356A coupe almost exactly like my fathers car. I bought mine in 2005 and sold it in 2013 so I could buy my wife a Model S. In the 8 years I owned my Porsche it doubled in value and paid for the Tesla; that was the only way I could afford to buy a Model S! Here is a photo of the Porsche I sold, which is a recreation of the 1959 photo of my fathers car. In that photo (above) my wife is "sitting in" for my sister, my mom and dad and I are in the same positions as the 1959 photo (and my mom is wearing the same jacket in both photos). Here is the 1959 photo for comparison. And here is my wife and I with our Model S in front of our house.

Awesome story. Love those plates, too. But the best plate I saw recently was on an S driven by a middle-age lady, which said: WAS HIS
