FYI, if you look at your documents carefully, I believe you'll find you gave a limited power of attorney to "The Title Girl" in Addison. "She" handles the DMV / Tax Assessor filing once Tesla completes their paperwork.

I did notice that...made my eyes slam on the brakes when I saw "power of attorney" and read it twice to see what exactly I was signing over. I just hope the plates come in the next 10 days.

The Dallas service center gave me two 30 day temporary tags. I feel I am covered until the plates show up.

Now you're starting to worry me.
It's a bit frustrating to be held hostage to this existing license plate procedure when I have a set of plates waiting for me at the courthouse. I guess I should be looking into "what to do if your temp tag expires before your plates arrive"

Call your delivery specialist a few days before so they can sort it out.

The delay "appears" to be with the Tesla group in California that handles title & registrations. I can say it was three weeks after we took delivery of our car before Tesla deposited our payment.

If you purchased through Dallas SC check the reverse side of your temp tag - chances are there's additional month on it. This was the case with mine (I would have never thought of checking the other side). You can also contact the SC and they will either print another one or send it to you via email (your preference).

I bought mine in July and still waiting for the license plates.

I am now at 30 days from delivery from the Dallas SC, they did provide a 2nd temporary tag. So far no status on permanent Texas license plates.

An update: I just received my license plates - it took about 6 weeks from the date of purchase.

I called my DS and he said to flip the temp tags over and there should be another one for another 30 days. Said the SC should have told me that but they didn't. So now I'm good for another 30 days and still waiting on my plates. Doo be doo be doooooo.....

I agree! This is a real hassle to have to wait for the documents then schedule and visit DMV!! DMV is totally booked up so this has been a nightmare! I am not crazy about using TitleGirl or any third party to pay the $9k in taxes and give power of attorney as well! Tesla needs to improve this process for customers!
