I had similar thoughts. The stock cover is difficult to routinely take on/off. I am constantly putting rack on and taking it off. I cut out a 77mm X 77mm square in the cover and trimmed using door edge molding. Total cost $4.

Model Y All VINs hitch cover
Which one listed earlier? Post #?This is the one I ordered.
I appreciate what people in the community are trying to do but the one listed earlier is an eyesore.
The manufacture has just announced a new production for both the MY pre 150k vin and a universal fit for MYI can’t seem to find the original post where the developer of this item described it and asked for replies from anyone interested. IIRC, they needed at least 50 people before going to manufacturing. I responded, but haven’t heard anything…
The one everyone is ordering. It just doesn't match Tesla's aesthetic.Which one listed earlier? Post #?
Of course this is personal opinion but which one do you think does not match tesla aesthetics? The machined one or the one with the hole in the middle of the cover? The one everyone is ordering. It just doesn't match Tesla's aesthetic.
Yes, that one.Of course this is personal opinion but which one do you think does not match tesla aesthetics? The machined one or the one with the hole in the middle of the cover?
Thank you for this. I ordered the older version but it didn't work with my 2022 MY.The manufacture has just announced a new production for both the MY pre 150k vin and a universal fit for MY

With your response you must have misread the question. It asked which one were you talking about and then gave both examples.Yes, that one.
Don’t feel bad, I didn’t get a clear answer when I asked either! With your response you must have misread the question. It asked which one were you talking about and then gave both examples.
The machined one with multiple holes and the Tesla logo. I stated in my reply that the one that was mentioned when this thread started is an eyesore. The Ungodly Design version is much nicer but you need to make sure it works with your VIN number. Again, it's in the eye of the beholder and you're all entitled to your opinion but my personal opinion is that the tow hitch cover that started this whole thread (#1) does not live up to the Tesla design standards.Don’t feel bad, I didn’t get a clear answer when I asked either!
I got this one. Fit pretty well. I think I’ll have to tinker a bit to see why one side has slightly larger gap. Hope this doesn’t suggest tesla installed hitch at a slight angle. The manufacture has just announced a new production for both the MY pre 150k vin and a universal fit for MY

Those look so much like the Every Amp tools ($15), only without the advice to remove extra clips.I like the clean OEM look. If I start using my tow hitch regularly, I’ll just order the Tesbros hitch cover removal tools for $20.
