New update: Sentry and Reboot Bug (HELP)

Good evening all! Pls help…
After downloading the new holiday update- my sentry mode does not save clips despite have active events. I go to the dashcam and the videos are not there. I had an appointment and then it was “remotely resolved” so I thought. Well now my appointment is canceled and the problem still occurs.

Also, a soft reboot (holding both wheels down), I dont get a Tesla logo, just black screen and then it resets. My music cuts in and out. What is going on!!

Sounds like an appointment to the service center.

I too have noticed my sentry mode not saving clips although car warning me that events had happened.

I just got my car back from tesla service center. They say sentry mode worked fine for them. Funny thing is, I see no record of footage from tesla service center in my sentry video history and sentry mode still doesn’t work when I try. My 2022 Model Y performance is running 2022.4.5.3.

Fixed my issue of sentry mode reporting events but not recording to usb storage.

Sentry Mode not working

I found the fix for my problem. Sentry was turned on with the red button displaying, but record, the button to the left of record was not on. It also has to be on for Sentry to work. This solved the issue for me. Thanks. The Updated owners manual alludes a bit vaguely that sentry mode...

Yes, there are two parts to sentry mode. One is to have it enabled and see the red dot. The other part is to ensure the USB is properly working and that the camera icon has a small red dot on the right side. Sentry can still function with out USB working.
