New USB/microSD Adapter shows up as multiple devices

I've been on this crazy saga where my dashcam memory stick just doesn't work.

I got a PureTesla adapter + microsd card setup, and the microSD card totally failed. I purchased the only one available at the nearby store which is a 256GB SD card, which has been working for a couple of weeks, but then I started getting a USB Malfunction error with it. It doesn't seem to be the card, it's the actual adapter.

PureTesla will not respond to any customer support emails, so getting a replacement won't work.

So I ended up purchasing a 128GB Samsung Endurance microSD card and this Anker USB 3.0 adapter: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006T9B6R2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I was excited because Anker always works so well. But nope. For some reason, it shows up as multiple USB devices and the car doesn't let it run as a dashcam.

So I'm still stuck with a solution that doesn't work, and I've spent waaaay to much damn money on something so simple at this point.

So what next? Try another adapter? Just throw it all away and get a Tesla USB memory stick?

The Anker card reader says this multiple times: "Simultaneously read and write on two cards". I wonder if it's got some kind of built-in hardware partition going on that's making it show up as two devices?

I have a SanDisk High Endurance microSD card (though I'm sure your Samsung Endurance card is equally as good) plugged into one of these: https://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-MobileMate-microSD-Card-Reader/dp/B07G5JV2B5/

It's cheap, simple, and so far has worked without a glitch.

Yup, I'm guessing it is technically reading as multiple devices since you could plug in both a SD and microSD card into it at the same time.

I'll probably get the MobileMate! Thanks for the suggestion.
