Low quality film, improper install, and many other factors can attribute to the lifespan of your tint. Few questions:

  • How does the heat rejection compare to Crystalline?
  • How does the pricing generally compete with the other tints?
  • Any installers in the Los Angeles area you can recommend?
  • I presume the 70% is for the windshield? Any difficulties installing the tint on the windshield?

Thanks so much!

Happy to help.
  • The heat rejection is comparable with their shades except for the 70% VLT (shade) where they have 3% better heat rejection. That said, the installation of our film is much easier as it doesn't have the metalized layers that gives it the shiny look which is no longer popular. Additionally, XR PLUS is signal friendly where the other product is not.
  • Pricing is more competitive with XR PLUS.
  • Absolutely, we actually have quite a few options for your area so best bet is to check our XPEL Certified Installer locator here - XPEL Window Tint in LA Area. The locator is acting up a bit, even though it doesn't have the "PRIME" Box shaded, they may still offer the window tint.
  • Correct, 70% is common for windshields and sunroofs. No difficulties, just be sure to check your local laws for tinting windshields. Your installer will know this.

Hope this info helps, let us know if we can answer any other questions.

I guess we won't know pricing till someone posts an actual quote.

Atleast it is good looking tint without the greenish blue hue.

GatorGuy,

We're happy to give you a general range of what to expect pricing to be. Note though that as labor rates and installer experience vary, this is only a general range.

- Front Two Roll Up Windows $200 - $250 +
- Regular Sized car all 4 doors and rear glass $600 - $800 +
- Regular sized car with above plus windshield and sunroof would be around $1,000

Let us know if we can help you locate an installer nearest you.

You missed me by about a month.

Otherwise I would have to have been one of your first customers.

This title is misleading, no window film blocks 98% of the heat.

IR / NanoCeramic films can block 98% of the IR heat....but that is misleading. You need to talk about "Total Solar Energy Rejected" / TSER. A good TSER for a dark ceramic limo (5% shade) would be around 66% TSER.

A good light film / windshield film is a 70% shade with a TSER of 41% to 51%.

Both of the above can have an IR rejection of 98%, but again, that is misleading. Please use TSER - Total Solar Energy Rejected to avoid confusion. Apples to apples for heat rejection.

Please don't misrepresent window films.
