I desperately want a Tesla but am financially constrainted. 35K being my cap. I want a in town car..range not real important..latest techology not required...low maintenance hopefully.
Older Model S? Am I just out of luck?

Would a lease work in your budget? We found it was less expensive to "get into" a lease than purchase new. The money we save on "fuel" and having only one vehicle, instead of two, almost pays for our lease. Our Model Y tows our sailboat, utility trailer (our pickup), and a small travel trailer, so no other vehicle is needed.

If you find a deal on a Tesla it's not likely to have a warranty. For a town car a plug in hybrid with warranty is going to almost pay for itself with free public charging.
