Seems to be a problem with the update - cars with V8 seem to be all working.Went to drive home, noticed no 3G connection in the car. Been the same all afternoon. Wifi is working ok though.

Out for all Tesla’s Aus wide
Nope - I don't have the update and haven't had 3G at all today (Sunshine Coast, Qld). Had to go back to listening to the radio!Seems to be a problem with the update - cars with V8 seem to be all working.
It was an m2m outage. Mobile phone data was not impacted, so pairing to your phone wifi hotspot works fine as a backup plan. Hence agree with you, no need to purchase a backup plan when most of us already carry one.I wouldn’t make any purchases. I can’t imagine Telstra will make a habit of this, they’ll lose a lot of business.
I wonder if your small battery is going flat- the battery that does the start and interior, not your drive battery.Hi All, my 3G connection has been out since yesterday morning.
The car rebooted while I was driving then when it started back up it was completely blanked. Had to set all settings again, even forgot the car name and wifi passwords etc. plus cleared the trips!
Since then it has spontaneously rebooted several more times, each time clearing everything.
And no internet 3G connectivity at all. Wifi still fine.
Any ideas? I’ve called service and they are pulling the files and have made a appointment for 18th June. I don’t really want to listed to AM radio for a month!
Mine did all that while I was up in Karumba in the Nth Qld Gulf about 2 weeks, I had Brisbane Service Centre look at it while the car was getting it's airbag recall done and no 3G since, WiFi OK using mobile hot spot from my phone.Hi All, my 3G connection has been out since yesterday morning.

I had the Brisbane Service centre log in to the car yesterday, via my home WiFi, they were uploading the latest firmware to the car, I checked a couple of hours later, to find the MCU had rebooted and no firmware update.and needs engineering to log in to the car remotely to repair.

3G did work after a reboot/reset until the service centre tried to fix the MCU, and cause it to reset again.I had the Brisbane Service centre log in to the car yesterday, via my home WiFi, they were uploading the latest firmware to the car, I checked a couple of hours later, to find the MCU had rebooted and no firmware update.
