No federal tax credit for 2017?

No federal tax credit for 2017? Has anybody else had this problem? Our taxes have been done since February 1 but, our accountant can’t File our taxes because there is no form 8936 for the federal tax credit. The IRS has not yet released that form which, according to our accountant, hasn’t changed from year-to-year. Is anybody else’s taxes totally delayed because of this kind of thing? Our accountant told us to contact our congressmen and complain. Maybe even the White House.

Been delayed. This and a number of other forms are listed to be available on Free File Fillable Forms on __3/15/2018__.

Too bad though--Got my taxes done and accountant saying that form will likely be identical to 2016. Just waiting permission to use the 2016 form. Bummer--need the refund for a needed purchase. Hope it is updated soon.

file a paper return with the 2016 form, cross out 2016 and put 2017.

The IRS is saying it will be available March 15th but if you click the link on the form it's available right now. The draft version is gone and I guess they just put it up today based on other posts I've seen. It's the 2017 version. https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f8936.pdf
I'm guessing TurboTax will be updating shortly, so I'm waiting a day or so.
