No Heat Icon, Only Cool For Seats

Loaded 2018 p100d X. Anyone else getting this?

Heated/Ventilated seats always says "COOL" even when the heaters are on. It use to switch between the two. Scroll wheel reset didn't do anything. Running 2019.20.4.1. Search function didn't reveal a lot, either.

Thanks!

But it isn't actually cooling until COOL is highlighted in blue. It's a cool on / cool off toggle, just like the navigate on autopilot button is only active when it's blue, but the words are there all the time. Notice how the wavy lines above the seat are blue when COOL is selected and they're red when COOL is not selected.

Toggle the cool button on and off (blue and gray). Do the seat lines change colors accordingly? When cool is selected (lit in blue), the seats should be cooling (blue wavy lines). When cool is deselected (not lit in blue), the seats should be heating (red wavy lines). If this is what happens, your vehicle is functioning normally.

Seats are functioning fine, it's the recent change in interface. The button said "HEAT" before and was red. Now it only says "COOL" but the lines change to represent heat or cool. Odd that Tesla would change that.

What are you guys seeing? Those who are commenting, can you confirm what behavior you are seeing?

I'm clearly not explaining this in enough detail.

Previous display - button (actually displayed the words) toggled between heat and cool depending on what function was active and the lines were red or blue to match.

Current display - see above. Seats work fine it's just a bad design change.

Still plan on keeping the car, though.

Note that I have a 2016 Model X with the original ventilated seats, but as far as I can remember the button has worked as it currently does since the UI change that removed the separate buttons for heating and cooling. Heat is the default function, and you press the button labeled COOL if you want to switch to the cooling function. If the button said HEAT, it wouldn't be obvious that's where you enable cooling. Cars with heat-only seats don't have a pop up at all, it just cycles through the heating levels.
