No Metallic Black for 3?

We stopped by the gallery in Century City today because my wife is trying to decide what color for her 3, and they told us that it has all of the colors of the current Model S.

She found the Midnight Silver a little too blue-tinged, so she got herself happy with the black metallic.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be an option for the 3. Before we settle for flat black, can folks confirm that metallic black is *not* an option and the black on the configurator is just flat black?

correct. you have the Solid Black (not flat) or the Midnight Silver Metallic, but not Obsidian Black.

There is no color option for flat (satin) black. The only black is the base color, non-metallic gloss black.

I always found it weird that they didn't offer just that one color. Can't imagine what the rationale would be.

Tesla and their paint color choices in general are a gripe of mine, but I digress...
