I just got off the phone with local rep. I had my CC ready for a deposit to place a brand new order on a LR RWD Bleu/white/AP/19s, guy says Tesla stopped taking brand new orders for the RWD and only thing available is what is available in inventory which he will be searching high and low tomorrow morning. Does this sound right?

I don't know if that's correct. I had only heard that they took it off the website and was only available by calling Tesla directly just like the SR model. They have taken the LR off the website before when they had the MR model then they brought the LR back so I would call the main Tesla number and try again.

No, I just changed my order today from an SR+ to the LR RWD w/ AP - they got the price wrong, but they modified my order. Why would they change the price on something you can't order?

They wouldn't. Just more uninformed Tesla employees.

I never heard of anyone modifying an order to a different trim.
I thought they have to cancel the order and create a new order and you have to make a new deposit and get the refund on the old deposit days later.

I'm an AWD orderer but........[pet peeve]Don't say the only way to buy a Tesla is to order online and then make models that are off menu that you have to call and try and figure out. It can't be both ways.[/pet peeve]

A number of people reported placing orders for a LR RWD through sales yesterday.

Keep in mind that the majority of times you ask a Tesla salesperson a question you will get an incorrect answer. You need to ask the same questions at least 2-3 times before you really know what’s going on.

Tesla are (apparently) still building batches of LR RWD vehicles, but you have to order by phone or by visiting a store.

They just adjusted the price, so it now includes AP.

Thank you all for your feedback plus the secret in-and-out menu I'm going to have to try it. I just called Tesla and verified that yes they are still taking rear wheel drive orders and it's very much still available. A very misinformed salesperson I came across and will ask for someone else today. Thank you all.

Lol at Tesla secret menu.

I’d like a OBM SR AWD with gen 1 hard seats and alcantara headliner.

And a 3x3, animal style with volcano bun.

Crispy fries and a Neapolitan shake.

Try another rep or call corporate sales.

Those who haven't been to In-N-Out Burger might not get the above joke.

Thanks @cwerdna for the clarification.

My reservation # stayed the same; referral applied, etc. They just modified my existing order. The new order invoice even states "modified on June 14th..."

I changed my order too, they changed me from SR+ with FSD to LR RWD with only AP. great price. What I never see in the overview of my reservation is the referral code I used, is this supposed to be anywhere on the breakdown of price? I only see my referral code I can handout but I want to make sure my referral did get added on my original order and carry over on this vehicle change :/

I had the same question about supercharger credit. My delivery agent said she could see that I ordered using a referral code, but I wouldn't see it on my end.

So my account now shows the new configuration. I was told the FSD can be removed since the LR RWD I decided to change order to already has FSD. Also the prices reflecting on this order don't reflect the prices on the car they told me...I wonder if they still need to do something...it also doesn't show a vin

I was offered a European LR RWD a few days ago but I asked them to postpone delivery to mid June, hoping for it to have HW3.0 by then. But the Tesla delivery specialist was not sure if they would all be some kind of inventory cars and therefore without HW3.0. I wonder if there are any confirmed LR RWD cars with HW3.0?

I apologize for my extreme limited knowledge but I though HW3 only matters if you have FSD and if you dont but decide to upgrade during delivery or way down the road, they will replace to HW3 with FSD anyway
