Why did you pay so early before delivery?

Wow. They really missed the delivery window, eh?

2/4 config with black/aero/EAP

I just got off the phone with my delivery specialist, for the second time. It’s funny how little information they’re actually given. He said he’s seen plenty of black cars get delivered lately so the paint color isn’t holding it up. I think that’s nonsense.

He also said the “3-6 weeks” estimate in the account is for production time, not delivery. Thing is, it literally says “3-6 week delivery” in my account.

someone named kickroll in the spreadsheet updated today that they were given VIN and delivery date for a Black 18". No vin given though

I know "kickroll" and their VIN is in the 66xx range.

@N8Howell33, There is also a Red/Aero VIN in the 87xx range coming to Seattle.

Both of these folks are owners and I got their permissions to post their VINs as above.

Update:
Call received today from Tesla in Las Vegas. Was told the car is on the way to the service center with delivery anticipated before EOM but could be sooner.
Paperwork received, signed and returned to both Tesla and lender.
Account info submitted to Tesla for direct debit of down payment.

2/22: Configured: Deep Blue Metallic with sport wheels; No EAP
3/4: VIN received - 82xx
3/5: Call and paperwork received

Sure, the car gets a VIN once it enters production, but with Model 3 the VINS are assigned to people later on as they just produce batches. So for model 3 future owners, once the VIN shows up the car is produced (and matched to the owner).
Yes this appears to be true, I received my VIN last night and Las Vegas called me today saying it is ready for transport and I may be able to deliver by the end of the week (Salt Lake City)

Update:
Got a call from a Tesla delivery service rep today. My Model 3 is finished with production and being placed on rail to be delivered to distribution center in Alabama. From there it'll be delivered by truck to the Raleigh Service Center.

They said it can take anywhere from 10-15 days or sooner (depending on weather) to get the cars from Fremont to Alabama. Once in Alabama, they'll be able to give me a delivery date and can't before then.

Sounds like a lot of people's cars on this train for quarter-end east coast deliveries.

Configured: 2/22
Vin Assigned: 3/4
