Nokian WRG3 tires

Where I live, there is little snow, but there are ice days where the roads are covered with 6-8 mm of ice--much of it black. Never had an issue (RWD S85). No real issue with noise because many of the highways around here have an aggregate size that makes any tire loud. (Note the new X is much quieter than the 2013 S.)

Thx for reply. Hope Tesla continues to improve on sound deadening. I compare everything to my Grandparent's old Lexus LS and have yet to sit in a car that quiet, one of those things I never cared about until I realized how high the bar can be.

I have heard some good reports on NEXEN tires at a reasonable price. Any experience??

I know the Nokian tires are very popular with the Norwegian Tesla owners

We use them in Montana on our X and Y. Studded. They are in my opinion the best tire out there for bad conditions. They ARE very loud in the X, not so much in the Y.
