Non functional Headlight replacement 2019 M3P under insurance?

My LH headlight went out. I’m about 9k miles over warranty. Under warranty my RH headlight went out in June. It appears as though the factory installed headlight are somewhat defective if they’re lasting barely over 3 years since I took delivery. Unfortunately since I’m 9k miles over warranty Tesla has quoted me $1244 for replacement. (~$80 of which is removal of the old headlight) if there’s no way to get this covered under good will, is it possible insurance would cover the replacement due to a defective part? (My deductible is significantly less)

Unless you are planning on going out and hitting it with a rock or hammer or something, and then telling your insurance road debris hit it (meaning not telling them the truth), I dont see how this would be an insurance issue at all.

Car Insurance doesnt cover "defective" parts. Thats a warranty issue (or not, as applicable). Car insurance covers parts broken either by accidents or vandalism, etc.

Makes sense, this is a first time experience for me. Thanks for the clarification
