Non-owners in No VA, have you received your M3 yet? The wait is unbearable!!

I configured on 4/6, MSM, EAP and 18" wheels, already 3 weeks, still no VIN, constantly checking/refreshing my account page. I was at Tesla Tyco road today and saw couple of M3s, I asked one of the service person, she said they are delivery few model 3s a day, I was wondering if anyone from No VA received your M3 yet?

Not yet but apparently some ISAs for Virginia customers are making contact. Mazari4life posted an expected 14 May delivery date. I have a VIN but no contact (invite & order 4/10, VIN 4/13 - MSM 19" sport, EAP). We'll see what next week brings.

Same day configure 4/6.

Same location.

Vin 151xx

Just got the first and only phone call today and got May 6th arrival this Sunday. May 9th AM delivery. :D:D:D

Compared to model S process, the model 3 process was terrible. No communication at all. we got a Vin # the same day we configured.

I think there a little busy

Line waiter at tyco rd.
Invite 4/10
Config 4/10

.... still waiting. Envious of all y’all who’re on a faster trrack to VINs - congrats!

I’ve also popped by the Tyco rd service center and admired the couple of M3s I saw there...

...still waiting

I’ve found that quitting smoking causes more angst than waiting. It’s helping me bide the time, wanting to gouge out my frontal lobes. Perhaps taking it up and quitting could help you too? ;)

... waiting

Many of us configured on 4/6 with no VIN, you configured a week later and got a VIN, you must have better luck than we do.

It depends a lot on the color of choice. Silver is the least common color and VINs are assigned quickly. Midnight Silver Metallic is the most popular and has the longest wait (black is 2nd longest wait although not 2nd most popular).

We ordered the MSM also but with the 19" wheels and got the vin right on the spot. What has me concerned is how much lower our vin # is. At 15K it's only a week or two older that the other vins posted. So not a big deal with today's production progress. Not like well get one below a 1000. see it as a good thing. we probably got the last on in the batch. 15K was real high back in early April.

when I ordered my S in January, they had just received a truck load of MSM 3's with the 19" wheels. 6 identical cars. They had them all single file line down the delivery side of the driveway. I would have never picked that color had I not seen it in person, really sharp looking.

I got ours this morning.

There were 4 MSM and one blue one in the delivery center and a red one outside.

The guys were telling me they need a much larger delivery center with all the 3 inbound. they said Tesla will renovate the store.

Reddy, would be nice if you do a show and tell with your new Model 3 at Fair Oaks Mall parking lot, so we poor souls can check it out.

Line Waiter (non-owner) at Tysons Corner
4/6 Configure (Red, Aero)
5/2 VIN assigned (192xx)
5/3 ISA first contact
5/4 ISA second contact (trade-in documentation follow-up)
5/8 Received trade-in assessment, Declined offer (carvana.com offered 20% more)

On Thursday 5/3, my car was sitting in the lot at Fremont
On Friday 5/4, my ISA told me my car was en-route to the train station. He said he can't schedule delivery until it arrives in Richmond, where it will be shipped north. He said he can probably schedule delivery in "about a week."

Latest info I have is from today when I declined their trade-in, he said "I hope to have more information on the location of your vehicle within the next few days."

I bet there are quite a few cars on this train to Richmond :)

I'm sure our cars are on the same train. Received my VIN (191XX) 5/1 and a call from the delivery specialist 5/4 stating that the car was in transit. Estimated delivery was the week of May 21st.

Sorry for the double post. new to posting.

One person on another thread evidently figured out that getting his car in California would lessen the wait. He picked it up at the factory and drove it home to Alabama.

Or, you can wait. I believe there were near 400,000 orders when I ordered mine. The Model Esses before the M3 sped up the delivery date, which I was not expecting, but I'll try to get over it.
