Non-P AWD with White Interior

Just curious to find out potentials of your delay vs the other scenarios. Are you financing or a "cash" option? The mr. notamerican is a bit frustrating without the reservation; however, he is within the vicinity of the shop in Palo Alto. I suspect you and I are a bit behind others since we're mid-west locales. A lot of the others I've seen had reservations in early 2016.

I’m going cash, no trade in. My account screen is still sitting at the “ A delivery specialist will reach out to discuss your changes” ever since I added the insurance information a month ago. I called Tesla to make sure that wasn’t the hold up and they said no, just be patient. The phone rep I talked too also confirmed they don’t know anything more than we do until there is a “match” made to your car.

At this point it feels more like a lottery, than any sort of systematic queue.

Limited communication from my DA since last week - still hasn’t confirmed the 9/21 home delivery date or responded to my request for the VIN - however, I just tried to see if I could still edit my order (using the backdoor url). For the first time, it is redirecting me to my account page with reservations listed. I can no longer edit.

Could it be that I actually have a VIN assigned? Is it possible that I could actually get my M3 before my Tahoe needs new brakes?? Tune in next week (hopefully) for the exciting conclusion...

Just got the email as well. Delivery window September 20-27. Seems like they just released a batch of these notifications with same delivery window (a local Tesla friend got the same email)...a bit suspect given no vin is attached to my order, but we’ll see!

Reservation date: 6/10/16
Config date: 6/29/18
White seat upgrade: 7/30/18
Config: MSM, AWD, “19 wheels, white interior, EAP

No need to tune in next week. Called the Charlotte delivery center and they confirmed that I have a VIN!!!!! 1004XX - said it was the highest number he’s seen to date. GPS says it’s “in transit to the rail station” so my guess is that it just left the factory. Now on to the next waiting room for 2+ weeks...

Seems like I’ve read a fair amount of people who very recently put in orders for very similar configurations as mine and already have cars/vins/delivery dates.

I have the same configuration as you with 4/1/16 reservation and only got a delivery date a few days ago. See if the backdoor edit still works for your reservation.

In another thread it was reported that Tesla was slow walking deliveries along the Pacific Northwest coast due to wildfire activity so that could be affecting your delivery as well.

Yeah I can still edit it via the backdoor method unfortunately. What exactly do we think that means again? I’m still nowhere close?

I went from edit to no edit with the backdoor pretty quickly so I would try to hang in there a while longer.

Man I hear you 100%. I actually switched my order from black interior to white interior out of frustration and then it's like I shook something loose and my order was instantly in queue for a delivery.

I was an early day 1 line waiter, ordered on May 23rd and switched to white interior when it became available July 23rd.

@zoiks66, Congrats! I just got my VIN today, also 97xxx. Just as I suspected earlier, our cars were produced in the same batch since our Edit button disappeared on the same day, and we got the delivery notification on the same day too for the exact same config.

Tesla also pushed my delivery earlier. I will pick it up next Wed (9/19) instead of Oct.1 as originally scheduled. Must have been on an express train.
