The @X-Care EV service plan covers almost everything other than the battery and drive-unit. So yes the air suspension is covered. The X-Care plan is an exclusionary plan meaning it covers everything that isn't listed as excluded in their plan document. (They sort of mirrored it after the Tesla ESA.)

Some expensive things that would be covered, and aren't entirely uncommon failures:
  • MCU (center screen and computer)
  • Air suspension
  • Air conditioning
  • DC-DC converter
  • HV cabin heater
  • Battery heater
  • Charger
  • High-voltage junction box (For cars where it isn't part of the charger.)
  • Cooling louvers in the front of the car
  • Door handles

Do you have approximate costs for those repairs? I think door handle is between 300 and 800 depending what went wrong.

MCU1 between 1300 and 1600 for reman units.

But not sure with the rest.

Thanks!

I'm pulling numbers from my, not perfect, memory; so don't hold me to them:
  • MCU (center screen and computer): $1,800
  • Air suspension: Depends on what goes wrong but ~$1,200/strut
  • Air conditioning: $1,500-$5,000 depending on failure (often takes the DC-DC converter out with it.)
  • DC-DC converter: $1,000
  • HV cabin heater: $500 (often takes the DC-DC converter out with it.)
  • Battery heater: $500
  • Charger: $2000
  • High-voltage junction box (For cars where it isn't part of the charger.): $1,500
  • Cooling louvers in the front of the car: $800
  • Door handles: $400 (used to be $1,000)

  • Informative

Anyone know if the headlights are covered? My 2017 has now had three swapped out under warranty. Supposedly about $1400 per light if I’m paying.

As long as they aren't user replaceable bulbs, yes. (I think only the first couple years had halogen bulbs.)
