Something scratched the crud out of wifey's Y, wondering if I should haul it to Tesla (2 hours away) so they can send it to a body shop or just find a local body shop, thoughts? It's through the paint into the metal.

Tesla is just going to send it to another shop anyway (as you said). They won't fix paint in-house. So, I'd just get it done locally and (most likely) more cheaply. Good luck!

This is some road fud, a rock or something kicked up from the front tire. Nasty. It's down in the metal, will need to be ground and filled.

That straight line looks like a close encounter with something pointed that was sticking out, like a part of a chain link fence. Don’t ask me how I know.

This is a poor design holdover that Tesla didn't learn from with regards to the Model 3. They have the lower sill too recessed with respect to the wheel's offset. They should be including mud flaps if they are going to have the trim this recessed.

Based on scratch marks inside of the gap between panels this damage unlikely to had happened when driving forward at any significant speed. If I had to guess it happened when reversing and turning, first contact at the door panel.
