In the early Model S days, way back in 2012 - 2013 (and before with the Roadster), Tesla owners would often wave at each other because there were so few of them around.
Jump forward to late 2018 and now in the SF Bay Area I see a Tesla every few minutes when I’m on the road. That is not an exaggeration. So you don’t have the same feeling of community like there was 5+ years ago. Of course it’s fantastic to see so many Teslas and other EVs being driven! And with Model 3 production continuing to ramp up, in the near future the TPM rate (Teslas Per Minute
will increase significantly.
