Normal Paint Red vs. White

Hi,
I just got my White MC and am curious if it is normal for the paint to have a granular texture and/or orange peel texture in many places over the car.

Also, on my car the multi coat stage paint is not applied in the door wells/sills. The paint is just base white when you open the door. Is this the same on the red version?
