Slacker is free... not worth $10 vs free

Ok. but it is nice to have choice. Some may want to pay more to be able to rewind a song, request and play a whole album, have better radio stations, and maybe have a higher bit rate sound quality?

If you like music, $10 a month for Spotify is ridiculously cheap. It's all the music you want for the cost of less than a CD.

Or less: if a family has 3 Tesla's, a home account, a work account etc. it could be less than $3 a month for each car.

It really depends how you consume your music. If you want to just pick a song you like and have others pop up based on that, then I guess Slacker is all you need. If you like choosing albums, creating playlists, going back to the beginning of a song, etc, then paying for a music service, whether it is Spotify, Premium Slacker, or whatever else, is definitely worth it.

Just FYI for those of you who don't know, Slacker has re-branded to "Live X Live". With the re-branding came a significant improvement of their app and some the their content updated as well.

Comparing Slacker to Spotify is kind of like comparing a Prius to a Tesla.

Both play music, but Slacker is basically a radio station. Spotify gives you access to pretty much every major artist ever; you can play entire albums; you can search by artist; you can make playlists; Spotify has multiple pre-made playlists by genre; and it also has playlists that are specifically made based on your musical taste.

AGAIN...it’s not free
I can still search for a particular song or artist with slacker. It’s continuous music streaming with no interruptions..SO ITS NOT LIKE RADIO

Are you comparing the Premium versions of each product? Does non premium Spotify let you play any specific song?

I don't know if that is a relevant question, as the Tesla requires the premium account.
