Northern New Jersey Tint

Hey Guys, I will be taking delivery the second week of March and wanted to get my car tinted. I think I landed on tinting all windows except the roof. I wanted to do 75% front two windows and windshield, and possibly 50% rears as they are already dark. I've always had 35% all around (Except windshield) in the past but this time around I think I want to keep it as OEM as possible.

I decided on Always Clean tint in Fairlawn NJ. The pictures on the website look good emailed them for a quote a month ago and they replied quick. I emailed them back 4 days ago and they didn't respond back. I'm looking for possibly ceramic tint. I've always had 3M color stable film and never had an issue in the past.

I've always had ceramic tints in the past, I feel like now in days prices go around 1k for tints. Although they have always been high, I remember them being around 500. I remember friends laughing when they used to spend 99 on their tints vs my 400 dollars tints. Even though a year later theirs would purple out and get bubbles. My 2014 Color Stable looks great today and that was in the 400 range. Anyway, looking for some recommendations. I googled tint places but I want to hear from Tesla owners. I want to make sure tint film goes up to the end and no horror stories.

If you know a place that you used and love, let me know.

So 70% film is almost clear. You want 25%. The rear windows are dark, so we would install 70% IR over the rears, to add heat rejection but not darken. We do 70 and 50 on the windshields. If you want lower than that, we make you sign a safety release form.

So we are in Pottstown, PA (also a sponsor of TMC - Pennsylvania's #1 Auto Detailing Company | Ceramic Pro, Ceramic Coating Near Me, PPF Near Me, Window Tinting Near Me | Total Detailing) - Ceramic window film really does do a way better job at cutting out heat. It is also usually double the cost per roll or more vs color stable film.

These Tesla's require some significant work to do correctly, such as this Model 3. You can't get the film on the rear window in a single piece without completely removing the B pillar shrouds. People come to us and pay $650 for Color Stable and $1100 for ceramic. 1. Because of the risks involved in taking that interior apart and spraying water everywhere. 2. they know we will order replacement parts no problem should we damage anything.

We extend all of our edges and shave them so you get a perfect seamless look. Its also something that many shops won't do because of the time it takes. Look for a shop that has a clean installation space (we have A/C/Heat, Air FIltration, Sealed Floor, Indoor wash facility, good lighting), one that is going to answer your questions without making you to feel rushed and is also going to take the time to provide you a solution based on your needs.

Please- ask me anything tint-related and I'm happy to help.

@Billmister, I am a happy customer of total Detailing/Ceramic Pro in Pottstown. I HIGHLY recommend them. They performed magic on my MS LR back in August. See below. Can’t say enough good things about Gabe and his team. Feel free to DM me if you’d like to speak.

Always Clean in Fairlawn did my tint on my Model S. This was about 18 months ago and I am very pleased with the results.

The owner, Felix, was a former car detailed at the Paramus Service Center so he knows the brand vey well. Definitely recommend them.

Good luck!
