Norwegien owners sue Tesla because "Insane mode" not insane enough

A new development on this case is that Tesla has appealed three consumer complaints that went to the Consumer Disputes Commision, where Tesla lost and was required to pay ~6000 USD in compensation to each customer. In the appeal, Tesla also wants the customers to pay the legal expenses. (This is unlikely, even if Tesla wins. The consumer rarely has to cover legal expenses for the professional party. It really only happens in obviously frivolous lawsuits.)

Sandwiches not measuring 12" or items not costing 99¢ are a little bit different than a vehicle manufacturer stating incorrect or misleading specifications for an expensive car. Not comparable in the slightest.

Someone did sue Subway though for their footlong sandwiches not actually being 12 inches. Not sure what came out that lawsuit though.

edit: Subway settled and ponied up about $525k.....$520k went to the lawyers, and the 10 plaintiffs got $500 each.
Why The Subway 'Footlong' Lawsuits Fell Short

Class action lawsuits: no matter which side wins or loses, the lawyers are the true winners.
