Not an exoskeleton- wait say what?

More Cybertruck video just no sound. Also it must just my eyes but at the 17 to 22 second mark it looks like ripples in the top of the sail panel just below the top side edge of it. There also appears to be ripples in the Bedside.
There will be ripples. It’s pretty unavoidable on a dead flat extruded sheet of malleable metal that is unfinished. Combined with Teslas legendary build quality.

Looking at that front end with the seemingly seamless interface of the windshield and the front hood makes me think it would be interesting to remove all four side doors and have the whole front+windshield hinge up and passengers load from the front similar to an airplane complete with aisle down the middle. Would be the ultimate tail head gate vehicle and would have better enabled the exoskeleton design. Tight parking spaces? No problem.

The whole exoskeleton thing is just a marketing term Tesla/Elon coined that doesn’t mean much but sounds exotic and unique.

Because the opposite of exoskeleton is an endoskeleton. There are no vehicles with endoskeletons unless you consider purpose built race cars with a welded in roll cage.

Every vehicle on the road has its structural components around the outside and not across the inside.

Even if you assume an exoskeleton as the main load bearing structure of the car - you will need to have at least some interior framing to support the... interior. Dashboard needs to connect to something... Rear seat uprights need to connect to something...
Not the case.
In a true exoskeleton structure, all interior components are hung off stressed exterior skin, which is used as the main structural component.
In theory, all interior framing could be attached to formers that transfer load to the load bearing skin.

By all observable evidence from that Munro video, that does not appear to be the case with the Cybertruck.

Would an exoskeleton vehicle even need mega castings?
No, it would not.

We had to invent a whole new set of manufacturing techniques in order to build an EXOSKELETON based car instead of an endoskeleton based car.”

Apparently Elon has different views of what exoskeleton means vs everyone else.
Or he just likes to talk sh*t.
It's not like anyone is fact-checking him, is there?

Note your use of the words "interior framing" - that's what I'm talking about. It's not a hollow shell with things floating inside - it's a strong exterior load bearing structure that has MORE structure inside to anchor the interior where it needs to be.
