Not sure I buy it: P85 vs 90D

My take on the P vs not is the main issue is tires. I'd really like to see what a normal S 90D with really good tires could do. My experience with other cars is that while acceleration is fun for awhile, really tight, quick handling is what makes a car an enduring joy.

Thanks for the very important point. I ran two quotes and it's only $18/mo more for a P85D than a 90D.

That's not much of a price difference so I guess you might still consider a P.

When my friend got quotes, they wanted $6000 to cover a P but only $2000 for a non-P for annual coverage. For myself, it would've cost nearly $80 more a month.

I pulled the trigger on this car tonight! High mileage, but it has warranty until 90,000 miles with option (as a "new" inventory) to extend by another 4/50!

Congratulations!!! Great choice, great car, great times ahead. Owning a Tesla is a life changing experience and one of the few things that can remind one of the wonder technology inspired in the imagination of childhood.

We moved from a P85 to 90D and like the smoother power delivery. Performance fills a little better, but less violent for some reason. I think its the all wheel power delivery making it seem more tame..
