Notice the plastic accelerator pedal?

    Doing some mods this weekend had my head underneath car. Anyone notice that on the non-performance MS, the entire accelerator arm plus pedal is a single piece of molded plastic, with not even rubber on the front? The brake pedal in contrast is heavy steel linkage plus nonslip rubber pedal. Guess we have no wasted mass to overcome when mashing the accelerator...

    Given that in the cars I've had with rubber on the pedals the rubber comes off after a few miles, I don't believe that's a downgrade.
