Speculation was Musk didn't want to cause Model 3 sales to collapse in anticipation of Model Y. To me, that was a good strategy.
Y unveil was about 800 people in the design studio...given that this will probably be at the Jet Center yeah you're probably right.
Hopefully they will stop keying the cars and concentrate on the trucks! The pickups reformable metal surface will be reparable via screen option.
The clones by Neuron EV. Could it be close to what the Tesla pickup looks like? https://www.carscoops.com/2019/11/neuron-evs-t-one-pickup-and-torq-semi-truck-visibly-target-tesla/
You know, considering I've towed a camper thousands of miles with a Model X, one would think I should get an invite to this event.. Seriously, though, I am much more excited about this event than I thought I'd be. A truck with longer range while towing would be a huge win. I don't really need a bigger camper, but going farther without charging would be great.
OK, from that invite we can probably infer that it has a lightbar like Rivian in front. Looks like the front tires are beefy and pushed forward as Tesla does with its other designs.
The light bar looks like the head light, and the two wheels we can see on the left are passengers front wheel and driver rear wheel. If true, compared to the previous picture, the truck would be very low to the ground, more like a sports car than a lifted coal roller.
Aww, waitlisted and I'm local. Shame. Probably a lot of invites accepted where people can't even make it.
