NPR not streaming through Tune in...just me?

Can anyone try streaming NPR in your car and see if it works? Mine hasn't for at least 24 hours. Everything else is just fine.

Yep.

I use tunein to select stations, WHYY for East Coast time, WBEZ for central time, KUAZ for mountain time, and the fabled KQED for Pacific time. I’ve never tried to just “ play npr”, except on my alexa after I’ve set it to the local station.

So are you saying that the default nor doesn’t work for your default or that a particular station is offline? Both of those have different reasons.

The default NPR station stopped working. Let me check tune-in on my computer browser quick and see if it's down there too (likely).

Edit: Hmm, the tunein website doesn't have the generic NPR station that I listen to in the car.

Hmm, my “default” local station is in tunein, WICA. Northern Michigan for a small rural community... They are hard to find on tunein. I took a cup of coffee to the car one day and setup the time-change favorites I listed before and my local station.

Have you tried to see if the generic NPR station works? Just search for NPR, it's the one with the logo as the icon.

NPR on TuneIn (in the car) has had issues for a long time. When I had this problem, Tesla said it was a TuneIn issue, and TuneIn blamed NPR. Apparently the broadcaster controls the stream quality, and NPR likes to broadcast their streams in a higher quality than Tesla's bandwidth will allow.

I contacted TuneIn and they confirmed that the stream is having issues. They are working to resolve it with the stream provider. Hopefully it's back soon.

I am having the same issue but it's with NPR under the Slacker / News / Talk. Anyone else's work?

Mine's been out for about a week as well. "Loading error" after a couple seconds of waiting.

Mine even disappeared from my favorites eventually, as if it was pullled. I just switched to my local NPR affiliate, WSHU.
