Press Release - New York State Thruway
The charging stations are each capable of supplying up to 50 kilowatts of power to an electric vehicle and support both of the standard connectors – Chademo and SAE Combo. Thruway motorists will be charged $8 per charging event. Motorists will need a Greenlots account or use the Greenlots app via a smart phone to charge at these stations. For more information, please visit www.greenlots.

What is a charging event? Is this one of those stations that shuts off after 30 minutes?

The greenlots charger ive used in nj is $8 for up to an hour charge. Not bad for a 50kw charger.

When it works, of course. It's been offline for a month or so.

Yeah I haven't had much luck with CHADeMO between out of service, not pairing/working with the Tesla adapter and ICE-ing. The tech seems so much less stable/reliable than a supercharger.

Hard to compete with virtual 100% reliability.
