Recently both my wife and I have heard a very pronounced thump from the right rear, but it's not at all repeatable. A couple of times on slow turns, a couple of times driving straight ahead. It sounds exactly as if something heavy has rolled to the side of the trunk, but there's nothing heavy there and what is there is well secured.
We had a front control arm break, and have had two shock bumpers replaced so far. It's made us paranoid about suspension noises. We've an appointment to have it looked at, but I'm wondering if anyone knows anything about this kind of noise.
