OEM Carbon Fiber Dash/Console

Selling a set of Tesla carbon fiber dash. The set include the 3 pieces for the dash and the center console area. They are used but in really good condition, with very minor scratches here and there. I believe they fit both Model S and Model X. Price is $750.

Just curious... why does the top part of the cupholder piece look like it has a gloss finish on it, while all the other parts have a satin/matte finish?

As to the finish, I do not know why it looks that way. I have only the pieces that are shown in the pictures.

With Tesla pulling the CF decor in all new cars but the P100D, the value of this just went up quite a bit.

Except that all newer cars have the graphite colored trim, not silver trim like on the kit sold here. So the silver trim around the cup holders on the older carbon fiber kits won't match the graphite colored trim on newly manufactured cars.

Not a big deal, but if folks do go to the trouble of manually upgrading the trim on a newer car to carbon fiber, the may want the "metal" part of the cup holder to match the rest of the car. This might adversely affect the value of pre-graphite carbon fiber trim kits insofar as newer cars are concerned.

I was initially pretty interested in the one sold on this thread for my post-May Model S, but opted out when I realized the metal trim wouldn't match with my newer car.

Geeze it would take 15 minutes to paint the tiny bit of chrome trim to match, or even just black it out with plastidip.

It’s the dash decor pieces which are much more important.

I wonder if the silver portion can be separated easily from the rest of the cabon fiber trim...then folks could just keep their existing graphite piece and swap it in.

I was thinking of buying this CF set just to put on the shelf for some future car I might buy if it didn't have CF decor. Now I wish I had!
