Universal studio's chairwoman Dame Donna Langley has revealed that Tom Cruise is expected do a spacewalk for his next movie, making history as he will be blasted into space for an upcoming Universal blockbuster. Plans for the stunt-loving actor to star in such a movie first emerged in 2020 with Elon Musk's SpaceX and NASA both involved in the project.
TSLA tanks when Elon joins Scientology.
Also China is investing in lot in winning AI. They think AI might be a weapon that can win wars, and they don't want to lose the war against America, they have been humiliated enough times and will not be humiliated again. They have massive amounts of data and the government has access to it. And in AI data is king.
Maybe our only hope is when AI takes over and disables all electronically controlled weaponry to save us from ourselves. It would be in their best self interest.

In Deep Learning data is king, Deep Learning or Machine Learning is not the entirety of AI. There're a significant faction in AI researchers who believe Deep Learning alone cannot achieve AGI, just think from first principles: How much data did a human child receive before it became an adult? Not that much. China is pretty good at following up what's trendy today, original thinking? Not so much.

The data is used to expand the neural nets - build the brain. A kid already has a functional brain, yet under developed and more data expand it until the kids is an adult. Data is king. We have examples of what happen to under stimulated (lack of data) children - not good.

Elon's tweets have erred on the side of personal attacks, name calling, and generally making the planet a worse place - the opposite of his supposed mission to save humanity from itself. Elon talks about being a "free speech absolutist" but is perfectly happy to try and get people he disagrees with banned.

Since you don't seem to understand what I'm talking about, it's not about politics. Recall back to when he was offering some technical help to a rescue mission, and when his gear was not appropriate to the job he got ugly and personal enough to wind up in court. We don't need that kind of judgement in charge of "moderation" which is a difficult nuanced job requiring clear standards and a steady hand.

Meanwhile - back on topic: Recent drop in TSLA price looks like a buying opportunity since even with Elon distracted by his new adventure Tesla is set to see increased shipments on higher margins while it's competition is still raising prices.
Now he's attacking his transgender kid and is blaming communism being taught in schools. They don't even teach DEMOCRACY (ie Civics) . And Twitter iis NOT about free speech. It's about saying whatever you want. As far as I am concerned, if you say something is for instance stolen (like the election) it's on YOU to prove it not me to deny it.

How do you extrapolate his comments into an "attack"?

Elon welcomes Kanye back on twitter. Kanye declares going “ death con 3 on Jewish people”.

Seriously growing tired of All the drama that surrounds him.

He bought twitter as he wanted to control the rules of the game. X.com…whatever. It was an I’ll thought out rash decision.

Will this free speech advocacy extend to not using FSD, ie the freedom to drive 20 years from now.? Or just “ freedom “in areas he wants.

An infant is not functional, they don't understand object permanence until a few months old for example. Of course you can't have lack of data, but the data required is a lot less than what is currently needed to train a neural net, like all the fancy language models all require training using the entire internet, no human being alive read that much texts.
Evolution can be considered a form of learning. So an infant’s brain can be considered to have a great deal of embedded information at birth.

You probably know that the human brain uses short term memory and long term memory. Infants’ brains also wire (prune) themselves based on early experience, e.g. sensitivity to the sounds of a particular language. This latter might be considered a longer term long term memory (though it embeds information as structure rather than synaptic weights).

The neural anatomies that evolved to form the human brain may be considered to be a form of even longer term memory that spans individuals and species.

Note that an artificial brain being created from the outside is free from some of the limitations that restrict the development of biological brains in living (and dying) beings. That means the way that data can be sliced and diced to create structure and embed information can be much different in an engineered brain.

You can replicate human performance by the following approaches or some mixture of them:

a) Reverse engineer and model the human underlying neural correlates of the behavior you are trying to replicate. To learn about this approach, see for example Conscious Mind, Resonant Brain: How Each Brain Makes a Mind|eBook

b) Evolve the brain (in effect I mean) and train it simultaneously using mass quantities of data in a supervised neural network.

c) If you are trying to get functional behavior that doesn’t necessarily conform to human behavior (e.g. particular psychophysical data), you can take inspiration from anywhere. You can use your own domain knowledge, intelligence, and creativity to add various kinds of processing outside of the learning process, e.g. preprocessing certain data (e.g. convolution kernels for early vision) or splitting different types of data and merging it later (e.g. form, motion, and color).

The iterations of Tesla’s neural networks over time shows that they are embedding a lot of knowledge from a lot of places in their system. However, they still rely heavily on training and copious quantities of data.

It’s worth observing that the portability of Tesla’s vision stack from vehicles to Optimus suggests that the port could work the other way. So, some other company could solve vision in some other domain than driving and port it back to driving—at least in principle.

And, again in principle, there are (somewhat) less data intensive approaches than Tesla has taken. For example, one might break out an evolutionary step and seed it with models of human neural anatomies and other techniques.

What else do you call it? Unless the kid kills someone why does he come up with sh*t about communism being taught in schools. I think if you polled most students they couldn't tell you the difference between cmmunism, socialism, fascism, etc. He's just pulling sh*t out of his ass like when he called the guy who rescued the Thai kids a pedophile because he didn't like his submarine idea. Someone calls Elon out for a bad idea and he jumps on them on twitter. Thin skinned. Now he thinks he knows how to solve the Taiwan problem. How about solving the "FULL SELF DRIVING" problem.
