Recycling my set of 20x9 SV107 from my 3 to my wife’s Y with Michelin Pilot Alpin PA5 265/40/20. The 3 in the background with 19x9.5 SV801 and Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4 265/35/19.
WOW! That looks like sex. Sorry to say but I think that design actually looks better on the Y. Need daytime photos stat!
I agree. The diamond cut SV107 look better on the Y than a red 3. Looks like I’ll be looking for some new summer rubber next for my set of SV302S to go on the Y.

have you been able to fit a 285 wide tire on 18" or 19" wheels? (With camber arms / adjustable, highly negative camber, don't really care about a little bit of poke.)
To the tesla community, I wanted to give a heads up that we will be seeing an increase in our retail costs starting February 1, 2021. We have been putting this off, but rising UPS international shipping rates and materials costs are unavoidable. New costs will be factored in starting February 1, but if you are on the fence and want to get in ahead of it then let me know. Only a deposit needs to be made by February 1st in order to save the spot in the queue. Thank you, Jamie

19x9.5 et35 insisted by the customer? My 19x9.5 et30 is quite close already and I don't see how 5mm closer to the arm won't start shaving rubber during autox hard turns. Unless it's like 235 tire, which makes sense only if there is a class limit. And I doubt there is a class limit in Switzerland... It's crazy that sv104 is selected more often than sv503, btw. 503, imho, looks better and clearly stronger.
What makes 503 stronger than 104? Also, looks are subjective - I personally prefer 104 as it’s a cleaner and more fluid design.
It's thicker hub, more spokes to balance the load, thicker spokes. It's a higher load rating wheel, that's why it's called Track Series. And, certainly, design is cleaner with 503 - much less lines. Nothing wrong if you like 104 more, but 503 is objectively cleaner. I find it's strange that Model 3, done in minimalism style, still collects more votes for fancier wheels, rather than cleaner wheels.
All of our engineers have all the data but to say one series is stronger than the other; We won’t comment. We will comment that we have multiple customers amongst all car manufactures tracking / drag racing / roll racing / vmax our wheels and they have proven themselves. Our wheels are built on performance; not just for show. We are also the official wheels of the ford performance racing school. That in itself should speak for us, our quality, and our brand.
Unless any of these failed, I think it's safe to say that it's a trivial difference in strength. @Mash @NXN-P3D
They are not going to fail! I’d guess that Signature optimise the track series wheels so that they deflect less under load, so are more suited to fast lap times. All wheels flex to some extent under load, but on a highly optimised race car, too much un-damped wheel flex will reduce grip as it causes uncontrolled tyre load variation. There is always a compromise between a light wheel and a stiff wheel, and I’m sure that is where the track series wheel design excels, it will have both.
Heavy track use makes wheels a disposable thing. They just slowly bend in all directions. Aluminum doesn't return back from bending very well (not as good as spring steel). Especially when it's hot, due to brakes and tires heat. SV503 is clearly a stronger design and I expect it to live longer under abuse. Certainly, more straight spokes, pointing to the center with a wide hub would be even stronger at the same weight, but that's not a very attractive wheel. Hard hit is a wild thing - forces are way too different to prepare for that and 20-30% stronger wheel won't make much difference if material is not defective.
