What's with the "setting the record for the highest single-day sales of any product of any kind ever in world history."? Besides from those being reservations, not actual sales; I'm sure there were several models of iPhone that sold more than that in the first 24 hours of availability.

I think they are referring to the total dollar amount the reservations represent in (potential) future sales.

Of course they're gonna spin it....
