Official Tesla Spoiler Potentially for Sale in Future

I am looking to get a carbon fiber spoiler installed on my LR RWD M3, but the purist in me would only want an official one from Tesla (the few aftermarket solutions I have researched don't look the same). So I called Tesla, knowing it would be a major longshot, and asked them if I could buy the spoiler from them directly.

They told me they are still installing spoilers on the P3D's that haven't received theirs yet, but hinted that it may be something that is added to the Tesla Shop after they finished with the backlog. Just wanted to pass along this grain of salt info incase anyone is considering getting a spoiler for theirs as well. Thanks!

There's been some discussion about this in the Tesla Parts for Sale subforum:

But a couple of interesting things from that thread:

1. There's at least one aftermarket company working on a replica that will be sold for much less than the genuine Tesla one

2. The Tesla part number for the spoiler is 1455166-00-A and if you call Tesla and get a price on that item, it is $660.00

3. Or you can buy SD_Engnr's spoiler now for $900+

Or you can wait and it will undoubtedly be sold on the Tesla store just like the Model S version.
