I live a couple of miles from a supercharger site. It is in a parking lot used by a grocery store and several other stores and restaurants. Recently they were servicing the pavement surface and surrounded a section of the parking lot with a chain linked fence. The superchargers were within the fenced area so not accessable for charging. I thought of the people who might need these superchargers. It occurred to me that when I travel it might be a problem if a supercharger site was similarly unavailable. When a site is temporarily unavailable, is this information automatically included in my car's trip planning calculations? Is Tesla quickly aware when some construction company fences off a supercharger site? Best, David
You would think that Tesla would be able to notice that there has been no activity there. Also we should call it in. I always do when I get a non working charger.
National Harbor SuC in Maryland recently had a festival and the parking lot with chargers was taken over by support vehicles. On the car map, the red lightning bolt icon was replaced by a closed symbol, and when I selected it in the Nav, a pop up told me the chargers were closed.
