Has anyone used an offsite parking lot that charges Teslas for Newark International Airport? It's about 80 miles for me each way. I have done it before and just parked in long term Parking, but never left my X there for a week in potential cold weather. Springfield no longer does the Newark shuttle and I was never able to get an appointment for that anyway. So a good offsite parking lot that has charging for Tesla's would be great.

I saw that, but that is a daily parking lot which is $34/day. I usually park in P6 the long term lot which is almost half that price. Looking at Plugshare the only parking charger I found near Newark International was for Newark Airport Long Term Parking. Electric Charging Stations | Newark Airport Long Term Parking so I will call them and see what the details are. Site says they use ChargePoint. I've never used anything other than Tesla chargers or standard outlets.

It appears that you are coming from the poconos. if so you could take a short detour to either paramus or edison and top off at the SpC before your trip and then if needed after the trip.

Yep, but I don't want to add to the trip, especially coming home. I'd prefer just coming back to a charged car, at least no less than what it was when I take off. I've left my X at Newark Airport for a week before and made it there and back on one full charge, but the weather has been crazy here. A couple weeks ago it was in the 70's, then we had a week of 30's. We had 18 inches of snow here last week. Between the reduced winter range and sitting out in the potential cold for 8 nights I'd prefer a place that charges. I'll try Newark Airport Long Term Parking and see how it goes.

I parked my X at Newark lot P4. They have 120v plugs scattered all over. I went to the deck right below the roof, grabbed a corner spot and just let me car essentially trickle charge while I was away. Over the course of the week, it topped it off perfectly to 90%. Then based on the estimated time remaining, I bump it up to 100% before my ETA home.

It's worked wonderfully several times. I end up at 100%, covered parking, and no worries about the trip or snow.

Got back yesterday at EWR (Newark International Airport), after getting my luggage and exiting the customs area, I called Newark Airport Longterm Parking number and there was already a shuttle that happened to be there. This was the fastest I've ever made it to my car from EWR, but that was probably a lot of luck. My Model X was parked by the drop off and had over 200 miles of range on it. They charged it twice during the week I was away. Once the first day it was there and then the night before I was to pick it up. I had it set to 90% charge limit. It used about 7 miles of range a day just parked which is what I expected in the cold weather. Cost for 8 days of parking was $108 which was cheaper than the airport's longterm lot (P6) and significantly cheaper than the $34 a day in the P4 lot which has EV charging spaces. To have your EV charged you have to use valet parking. All in all I was happy with the service and will be using it again.
